Ok, Macross Plus takes place in 2040.  When did the original Macross: DYRL
take place?

The question is related to an idea I got for an Evangelion fic :)  I
always wondered how well an Evangelion would do against a Macross mecha.
Of course, it's just an idea right now, and I don't feel like writing
anything at all this summer.
