For those of you without an IRC client,
search for one!  Just type "irc client <os>"
where <os> is your operating system ^_^
into a search engine.

Windows: I recommend mIRC, pIRCh, vIRC
Linux: you probably know what you're doing if
you use this..i recommend BitchX..
Mac: i don't know any clients except Ircle ^_^ sorry

As for the windows IRC clients...
they're simple to set up...download the .exe and run it
(just tell your browser to "open it" once it is downloaded)
and follow instructions.

Once you've run it, a dialog box will pop up.  Type in the
requested information, then hit OK.
Click the disconnect icon...or whatever...then type /server anime.terratron.
com
wait for it to connect...
then /join #fanfic 

and you're in!

For Linux/Unix people, just type ..
ircii <desired nickname, up to 9 letters> anime.terratron.com
then once it's connected, type /join #fanfic

or if you use BitchX..i assume you know what's up ^_^

There are usually several ircops online..also, i have a portkiller
if any of the so-called "elite hackers" come around looking for
blood.  You will be able to chat uninterrupted about..fanfics! :P

p.s.
you should be able to irc no matter what your connection
or connection type.  however, firewalls can provide an obstacle.
i'm not quite sure what to tell you.  mirc can talk over a SOCKS
firewall..but i don't know about other walls.  my advice is, search
the web for info..
