"TUXEDO MELVIN'S NEW ADVENTURE"
A Sailor Moon story written by Emily Siazon.
All characters are owned by Naoko Takeuchi.
Warning: Cheesy DIC like dialogue ahead since I've only seen the NA
version. I won't use words like "supercool" though. I'm not that
fanatical about staying in character ^_^

The noise level rose up in volume as everyone in Juban went to
spend the day at the park. Many picnics were already in progress as
Serena and Amy walked towards their friends, waving at various
aquaintances along the way.

Serena, as expected, attacked the food Lita made as soon as she sat
down. She was finishing the last of the muffins when she noticed that
someone was missing.

"We i ina?" she asked, the half eaten muffin threatening to fall
out of her mouth.

     "What?" a perplexed Raye asked.

Serena swallowed before repeating her question. "I said, where is
Mina?"

"I don't know. She said she was going to get here early." She
stopped as she watched Serena devour a plate full of takoyaki. "Now, why
don't you stop stuffing your face so we could actually have some food
left when she gets here. You've already eaten most of it so there isn't
going to be any point of her coming here."

"You're one to talk. Don't think I didn't notice you finishing off
the chocolate cake." Serena answered in rebuttal before sticking her
tongue out at the raven-haired priestess.

As a reply, Raye did likewise and they were soon engaged in a
contest on who can stick their tongue out the longest.

Sweatdrops appeared on the other girl's heads as they watched the
two combatants who were showing no signs of tiring.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late," Mina said as she walked towards them
with Artemis draped across her shoulder and a mysterious box in hand.

Lita's nose wrinkled as she smelled something foul. A chill ran up
her spine as she warily asked, "What's in the box, Mina?"

She giggled before answering, "Well, I figured Serena's going to
end up eating most of the food, so I cooked some fried shrimp."

The chill in Lita's spine increased as she slowly backed away, the
other girls doing the same as they noticed the foul scent.

Serena tried to keep a bright smile plastered on her face as she
said, "So you...um...cooked for us."

     "Yup."

Serena's eyes darted around as she tried to find a way to escape.
As much as she liked to eat, there was no way she was eating whatever
was in the box. Dying was not high on her list for things to do that
afternoon.

She spotted a familiar head with reddish brown hair and sighed in
relief.

"Hey look, there's Molly. I'm going to say hi to her, okay?"

Raye immediately latched into her arm. "Let's go."

"Who said I was taking you with me? You deserve to suffer and eat
Mina's fo...oops!"

Both girls turned around and found a very angry blond glaring at
them.

Fortunately for them, they escaped the wrath of Venus as a youma
decidedto drop by to collect their energy.

As usual, it attacked the nearest person, which happened to be
Molly who screamed, "Not again!"

They were about to transform when a figure clad in a black tuxedo
rushed towards the youma.

"Huh?" Serena wondered with a frown. This wasn't Tuxedo Mask. He was
too short, and his butt wasn't cute enough...er, not that she could tell
the difference, of course. It's not like she constantly thought about it.
Um...yeah, that excuse sounds good.

"Oh no, Molly," the boy in the tuxwdo wailed as he watched her fall
into the ground.

He raised his face to glare at the youma, his glasses momentarily
blinding everyone nearby.

When the glare lessened and the girls were able to see again, they
gasped in surprise as they realized that the guy in the tuxedo was Melvin.

Faster than they had ever seen him move, Tuxedo Melvin grabbed a
handful of fried shrimps from his jacket and started to throw them at the
bemused youma.

"Pathetic human. Do you really think thatyou can defeat me with that?"
She then gathered some dark energy and threw it at him.

Tuxedo Melvi leapt off and barely avoided being fried to a crisp. He
then threw another batch of shrimps toward the youma which didn't affect
it at all.

The five girls, after getting over their surprise, ran towards a
nearby clump of trees to transform. They were a bit surprised to find one
of the trees wailing about losing his darling Ukyo-sama to an uncute
redhead.

Ignoring the pretty brunnete, they all shoted the words that
triggred the transformation.

     "Jupiter Power!"

     "Mars Power!"

     "Mercury Power!"

     "Venus Power!"

     "Moon Prism Power!"

The area was soon aglow with bright light, catching the attention of
everyone nearby.

They all ran off to see the commotion, annoying the youma to no end.

"Where do you think you're going? I haven't taken your energy yet."

The crowd ignored her as they ran towards the clump of trees,
catching the five girls in mid-transformation.

"Hey, I didn't know they had strip shows at the park." Commented one
of the boys.

"Yeah, if I knew, I would have gone here more often!" Another one
exclaimed.

The girls transformation ended just in time to hear these remarks,
eliciting a frown on their faces.

"This isn't a show so stop watching us." Sailor Jupiter snapped
angrily. "We're trying to save your lives and all you can think about is
a strip show!"

One of the boys gave them a lecherous grin while saying, "Well, you
can save me anytime."

Sailor Jupiter's frown deepened as the area around her started to
crackle with energy. "JUPITER...THUNDER..."

She stopped as Mercury dragged her by the arm so they could attend
to more important matters. "C'mon, we don't have time for this."

Sailor Jupiter gave one last threatening glare before she vanished
from their view.

When they reached the scene of the fight, they found Tuxedo Melvin
running away from the youma since he had used up all of his artillery. He
tripped on the box Mina was holding earlier and his face lit up as he
realized just what it was.

He lifted a handful off, careful not to breath in the foul stench.
The youma laughed even harder as it saw what had raised the young man's
hope.

It started to laugh out loud as it thought of how ridiculous the
stupid human was. Unfortunately, it's mouth was open wide as Tuxedo
Melvin hurled Mina's shrimps.

Choking noises started to come out of it's mouth as it tried to
spit out the shrimps that had landed in its mouth. "*cough* Gah! that
was the worst thing I have ever come in contact with." The youma
complained as it fell on it's weakened knee.

"Hey!" An enranged Sailor Venus shouted. "No one says that about
_my_ cooking and gets awat with it. VENUS...CRESCENT...BEAM....SMASH!"

The weakened youma was quickly smashed to smithereens, making the
rest of the scouts cheer for the job well done, and Tuxedo Melvin to jump
around in ecstasy for having helped defend the innocent.

As the park started to clear, Sailor Moon looked around in confusion.
"How come Tuxedo Mask never showed up?"

Sailor Mercury, who had been scanning the youma's remains with her
computer pointed to the nearby clump of trees where Tuxedo Mask was
holding the brunnete they've seen earlier's hand.

For some reason Sailor Moon couldn't understand, Sailor Mercury
started to laugh out loud as she watched the two of them.

"I wonder if he knows he's holding another boy's hand, "Sailor
Mercury mused under her breath before she went back to scanning the
youma's remains.
