I need to know something....

Just what is it with this sudden eruption of writers placing Ryoga 
(From Ranma 1/2) and Ami (AKA Sailor Mercury) together?

Don't get me wrong... I think they would make an interesting couple 
too. (With all that brain power of hers, Ami probably could find a 
way to help Ryoga with his directional sense.)  It's just that I 
never expected that idea to be so popular.
