Hi.
Not bad... not bad at all.
I feel the same way. Interesting beginning, especially if Nuku develops
suitably humorous 'operating personality quirks' from her 'defects.' }:-{D
I'm assuming that Natsuke-sama came up with something to
preserve NukuNuku's cat brain, ne? Or are you assuming that he read in
the data from the brain into a computer? (Since Mr. Lawson's fanfics, I
tend to assume the former. :)
I have Mr. Lawson in my killfile because of 'Transitions.' His fanfic
basically -unwrote- the fundamental premise of Nuku-Nuku. The show said, 'A
cat's brain -can- be used in an android.' Mr. Lawson basically said, 'No it
can't, the cat dies.' Yet another in a long list of OOC/OOF violations which
made Lawson's fics totally unreadable for me.
My attitude is this: Nuku's brain had to have been electronically enhanced
in order to make it programmable; presumably, those enhancements would also
extend the operating lifespan of the brain, in addition to boosting its
intelligence and processing capacity.
Furthermore, the android was constructed to be a combat android, over Dr.
Natsume's protests. It was built to keep operating under the most hostile
conditions, without maintenance, cleaning, or oxygen in some cases.
I have no doubts that Nuku's brain is well protected. }:-{D
And what could have happened to Emi-chan, who has become a lot
more sympathetic since 'Bottleneck' started coming out? (BTW: that's a
good series to read as well.)
This will be interesting to see as well. (And I found 'Bottleneck' to be an
unnecessary downer, BTW.)
This is a cool start. I'm very interested to see how it develops, both with
CGNN's slapstick comedy and BGC's angsty dystopian drama.
