<whistled Theme to the "Andy Griffith Show">
<Camera pans down to show Shampoo, Ukyo, and Ranma-chan 
walking along the side of a lake. It's a pleasant day with 
large white clouds lazily drifting across the sky, 
beautiful roses in full bloom along the path they are 
walking on, and Mousse-duck floating serenely in lake.>

Ukyo: Gosh Ranchan, It sure is a beautiful day, huh? 

<Shampoo picks up a rock, skipping it across the lake 
where it hits Mousse and he sinks under the water.>

Shampoo: It sure is. Maybe we'll finally be able to get on 
with our lives, you think Ranma?

Ranma-chan: Boy, it sure would be nice after all we've 
been through... the last few weeks have been so hectic! 
What with getting kicked out of the Tendos, then my own 
mom trying to kill me...

<Shampoo looks away nervously, remembering that that whole 
"going home" idea had been hers...>

Ranma-chan: Still, there's something wrong here, and I 
just can't seem to place it... Like, why am I in girl 
form?

Ukyo<seeming to notice Ranma's gender for the first time>: 
Ya know, that *is* kinda weird... what's going on here? 
This is the teaser for "three hearts on the road" right? 
The third chapter of Purple Haired Destiny?

Shampoo<nods her agreement>:Yeah, is strange... Wasn't 
that Mousse in lake? Shampoo thought he go back to china 
with great-grandmoth... er.. Cologne.

Ranma-chan<pauses, picking up a rock of her own which she 
skips across the lake. Then gives a deep sigh>:But that's 
not all... for instance, why is this teaser in script 
form? Everyone knows Ryan only writes in story format!

Ukyo: Something is fishy here....

<Suddenly the title scrolls on to the screen, and the 
three girls look at it in shock, huge sweat drops on their 
heads...

PURPLE HAIRED DESTINY 3: 
Of Misguided Quests and Misguided Souls.

Shampoo: I have bad feeling about this Ranma...

Ukyo: yeah, wasn't the story called "Three Hearts on the 
road?" Wasn't this suppose to be the episode where we get 
out of the Nerima nut house once and for all?

Ranma-chan <just stands there, a thoughtful look on her 
face>: Um, you know... Both the other chapters have had 
*really* bad things happen to all of us, you don't 
think...

Shampoo: No! He wouldn't! Shampoo thought things suppose 
to get *better* after last chapter!

Ukyo <big sweat drop>: uh, hey... did anyone else notice 
that those roses along the side of the path are _black_. 

Ranma-chan: Oh boy....

<a collage of shots flirt across the screen... brief shots 
of Ranma, in a small dark place crying in fear as 
something large moves in the shadows, and meow's sound 
from all over the place... Shampoo and Ranma siting very 
close together... Shampoo-neko, ragged, dirty, wet, and 
bloody trying to stagger to her feet from a drainage 
ditch... Ranma and Ukyo holding hands... Ukyo wrapped in a 
gymnast's ribbon, a trickle of blood leaking down from her 
mouth as she struggles to get loose... Mousse standing on 
a pile of rubble, an evil glint in his eye... Tsubasa in a 
pink elephant costume glomping a very annoyed Ukyo... A 
teary-eyed Konatsu gazing wistfully at Ukyo... Akane in 
tears as Kasumi serves bacon for breakfast... Genma 
comforting a sobbing Nodoka... Nodoka gazing over a 
grave... Kodachi and Mousse looking at each other 
in absolute shock... Kodachi, laughing insanely, working 
over a chemistry set....

Finally the screen goes back to our trio, staring still in 
shock from seeing the less-than-pleasant images>

Ranma-chan: Dammit, doesn't this guy *ever* write nice, 
happy stories?!?

Ukyo: I... I guess not...

Well, there you have it... PHD 3 will be out as soon as I 
can finish getting it typed! And yes, it now has a new 
name, "three hearts on the road" has been bumped back to 
be the title of chapter 4. (that's right, its not going to 
be anywhere near done by this next chapter, but this 
next one will probably be one of the biggest chapters)

dark room where we see Ryan, a small guy with glasses, 
hunched over his computer.>

Ryan: Ah.. Shampoo! What a pleasant surprise...

Shampoo <waving her bombari in his face>:Ryan *promise* 
Shampoo that she finally get Ranma in this story! Why Ukyo 
holding hands with Ranma!

Ryan <big sweats as he dodges a bombari aimed at his 
head>: Um...hey now... its not like that... really... 
besides, the fic is called "Purple Haired Destiny", not 
"Shampoo gets Ranma", right?

<fade out as a muffled scream is heard followed by a 
crash...>
