This story may also encourage someone else to write a Soun/Daughter or
Genma/Soun's daughter lemon, which if such a lemon must be written,
hopefully will be as good and tasteful as this one.

You may recall some of my posts on Genma as a seducer. I consider a
Genma to be an effective but extremely short-sighted manipulator, i.e. he
gains the immediate result without considering long term consequences.
"Hooray, my son has learned the Neko-ken. Oh, he's also schizophrenic now?"
Except for the fact that Genma's main interest in life is food and his
main fear is his wife, I'm not certain that he has enough morals to stay
away from any of the Tendo girls, including his son's fiancee. There are
only two young women that I don't see Genma ever seducing - Ranma-chan and
Ukyo. The average seducer draws the line at incest, particularly children
and Genma most certainly doesn't see Ranma as a woman but as a young man
with a minor albeit bizarre impediment. Ukyo, of course, despises Genma
and is polite to him only for Ranma's sake. She has already been screwed,
as it were, by Genma (That's a figure of speech, not an accusation of
pedophilia).

I say tasteful because I've seen a lot worse lemons than this one, the
ones written by Oscar come to mind, many Star Trek lemons, the old anime

Oscar, the big panda in Azusa's kawaii collection? Hmm... a Genma/Azusa
lemon (ack!)

There's even room for a sequel to this, which I'll understand completely
if you don't do. I'm tempted to write it myself, just to see if I could
wrap everything up neatly in 10-15 pages or so. Possibly ending with
Ranma's suicide, a confession, Nabiki blowing the whistle, etc, etc....

I see little chance of Ranma not committing suicide, whether or not
Nabiki blows the whistle. Although I don't see Nabiki blowing the whistle,
at least not immediately. I could see her talking about it to someone like
Dr. Tofu first and later with Ranma. I suspect that Nodoka would kill
herself as well. Suicide would seem the only way to deal with the dishonor.

Despite Louis Malle (French film director, late husband of Candace
Bergen), mother/son incest is never going to end gracefully without severe,
though possibly hidden, consequences, particularly for the child.

It is interesting to note that among many Japanese men there is a strong
"mother" complex. However, as Itami Juzo, the famous director, points out,
this complex results from the absence of the father from the family due to
both the long work hours and the extensive socializing after work with
coworkers. Ranma, unlike the aforementioned men, suffers from absence of
his mother.
