Part 3<<<<<<<<<<<

Back at the Tendo's, there is argument as they sit around eating
breakfast (It must be summer
vacation for Nabiki, Akane, and Ranma are not in the usual morning hurry
to school.)

Soun     (angrily) China?!? What do you mean you are going to China?
What about my little girl...

Ranma     How many times do I have to tell you I'm going to China so I
can find that spring so I be a
whole man again?

Genma     Son!  You have your obligations here.  You can't just be
travelling all over China when
you have your engagement to Akane to think about.

Akane     Leave me out of this!

Ranma     I'd be taking you too pop, but I only have enough money for
two people and...

Ryoga     (Suddenly appearing at the door) Soooo.....Ranma, you've had
your way with Shampoo
and are off to elope in China eh?

Kasumi     Oh my...Ryoga would you like some breakfast?

Soun     Wha what do you mean?  What have you done with with Sham Sham
Shampoo?!?

Akane     RANMA! YOU JERK!  (as she hits him over the head with a dumb
bell that was at her
side.)

Ranma     Alright that's it.  I'm not going to China with Shampoo and I
didn't do anything with her so
you all can just shut up about that.

Ryoga     (Ignoring what Ranma just said)  Leaving Akane and going off
to China with
Shampoo...you have no right calling yourself Akane's fianc�.  (Showing
he has gained some
confidence in himself now that he no longer turns into a pig.)

Akane    Whoever said I wanted him as my fianc� in the first place? (At
this point, she has had all
she can stand and runs up to her room crying)

Ranma     I'm really getting tired of this, I'm leaving...

Soun         (grabbing Ranma's leg, crying)  Ranma, don't go,
please...you can't go like this...

Nabiki     (Thinking) "Ranma's giving my sister the heave ho?  Maybe he
has made up his mind...I'll
have to check this one out..."

Ranma     Let me go, I have to go somewhere.  (He finally breaks free
and manages to get out of the
house without further obstructions.)

At Ucchan's Okinomiaki, Ukyou is outside setting up her signs in
preperation for her opening for
lunch.  Ranma reaches the restaurant in again a bad mood.

Ukyou     Ranma honey!  What's wrong now?

Ranma      They were all at it again (recapping this morning's
breakfast) telling me to marry Akane
when Ryoga shows up and gets them to start jumping to conclusions about
me going off to China to
marry Shampoo...

Ukyou     Poor Akane, (Thinking about her friend/enemy) she must be hurt
about all of this...

Ranma     (A bit suprised Ukyou would be thinking of Akane at this
point) Huh?  Ya well she'll be
ok.  I came to ask you when is the soonest we can leave for China...

Ukyou     Oh, about three weeks...

Ranma     Three weeks?!?  But why not sooner?

Ukyou     I can't just close the restaurant and up and leave...I've got
orders to receive and I have to
tell the customers.  Running a restaurant is not as simple as you
think...

Ranma     Oh well...I guess I've waited this long...

Nabiki     (Hiding behind a bush just close enough to hear the
conversation.)  Thinking:  "So its
Ukyou he's going to China with...This is becoming more interesting by
the minute..."

Ukyou     Don't worry Ranma, the pool's been there for hundreds of
years, its not just going to up
and disappear...

Ranma     uh...Ukyou?

Ukyou      Yes?

Ranma     I just wanted to say thank you.

Ukyou     Now you just better remember who helped you out here, it costs
a lot of money to get to
China.

Ranma     Don't worry, as soon as I can pay off Nabiki, I will pay you
back.

Ukyou     Thinking "Just great, I'll never see that money again...it
better be worth it..."

Ranma     I should get going, well I guess it'll be three weeks then...

Ukyou     (Calling after him)  Stop by whenever you can honey.

Nabiki     (Thinking)  "This could cost Ranma a lot of money...I wonder
how he's gonna explain his
way out of this one..."

Later that evening, Ranma answers a knock at his door and finds Nabiki
on the other side.  Ranma
knew immediately she had something on him and waited impatiently to hear
it from her mouth.

Nabiki     So Ranma, you really are going to China huh?

Ranma     Like I said, I'm not going off to elope or anything so you can
just leave me alone about it
all.

Nabiki     Poor Akane, and what will she say when she hears you are
going to be off with Ukyou on
this little escapade?

Ranma     Oh come on, its not like that.  And she's going to find out
sooner or later so you can just
give up getting any money out of me from this.

Nabiki     Well maybe, but if Akane and Shampoo know now, you will still
be around for them to
have a word with you...

Ranma     It dosen't matter anyways, I'm broke so go ahead and tell
them.

Nabiki     You're funeral.  (Thinking she can still get something out of
Shampoo for giving the
information.)

An hour later, a loud booming "He's what!?!" travels through the house
and probably a mile after
which is soon accompanied by loud footsteps moving toward Ranma's door.

Ranma     Here we go... (A few seconds later, Akane slams Ranma's door
open.)

Akane     (Obviously ferious)  So you 're going off with Ukyou huh?  Do
you realize how much I
hate you?

Ranma     Why does everyone think I'm going off to marry somebody?  Its
because she has the
money for the trip and...

Akane     So its for money huh?  Well I'm suprised you're not trying to
get Kodachi!

This is the point Ranma finally snaps due to the past few days of
hearing about this China trip and
nobody listening, especially Akane.  For the first time since he came to
Nerima, he is decisive about
this whole fianc�e thing.  Tired of being hit, he decides to let his
anger out by telling Akane off.

Ranma     That's it!  Akane, there is no way I'm going to marry you!
I'm leaving.

Akane sensing the Ranma is being very serious stops her attack and falls
back in shock.

Ranma     You can't cook, you have a bad temper, you never listen, I
can't believe I actually began
to think I was beginning to, to love you...

Akane     (Softly, realizing this was for real.  She was going to lose
him and she couldn't think of
anything to do about it)  Ranma...please.  I'm sorry.

Ranma     Its too late now.  I'm leaving and nothing's gonna change my
mind.  (He turns around and
starts packing his things.)

Akane     But Ranma, if you only told me... (She begins to sob, thinking
about the past few weeks
and all those incidents when she would not listen to Ranma.)

Ranma ignores Akane's pleas and continues with his packing.

Akane     Please...(sob)...don't...(sob)...leave me...(sobs)...I'm sorry
Ranma...(sob)...please.

It dosen't take Ranma long to get his stuff together, about 10 minutes.
Ranma puts his back pack on
and moves toward the door.

Akane     Where are you going?

Ranma     Where someone appreciates me.  (He slams the door behind him
leaving Akane inside to
cry.  Knowing for sure it is Ukyou who he wants to be with.  She's the
one who has been there for
him and the one who actually can understand his feelings and thoughts.

As Ranma leaves the house for the last time for a long time, he is
spotted by Nabiki who knows
instantly what is going on.

Nabiki     (Thinking)  "I'm sorry sister.  I never thought it would end
up this way..."
