Hello everyone,

I've a few questions on Japanese culture and their legal system for
several fics i'm contemplating. I hope someone can help me out.

1) Does the Leige lord/vassal system still exist however informal? Would
someone call another "Lord X" or "Lady Y" and mean it in the way it was
in the 1600s-1800s?

2) Can real property be seized from women if a male is not in charge of
it? Meaning if you have a home (or dojo) in Japan in your husbands name
and he goes missing or dies what is its status? That question was not
meant to seem chauvanistic and i sincerly apologize if offense was
given.

3)How much power does the Royal Family and Court have? Do they still
speak the Language of the Court?

4)Can Honor debts be passed on to desendants?

Thanks in advance,
