Completely at the author's discretion - she's never even mentioned in the
manga or anime.  Most authors doing fanfiction exploring the Kuno family's
history have had her as both dead and one of the reasons for the Kuno
family's 'eccentricities' - it's fairly common for her to either have been
unremittingly nasty or to have committed suicide (or both.)  I'm taking a
slightly different tack in my story (which is coming along very slowly,
but that's better than the completely stopped stage it was at a few months
ago), and it would doubtless be interesting to see another take on it.  Do
whatever your imagination finds appropriate.
