Hi all,

Flashman here.  I'm still working on TRIO but at the same time I've 
got this idea in my head and I've got 
to let it out.  Tell me if I should write it.... or be shot like a 
bad little monkey for even thinking of it.

     "And here is Tokyo Tower," Gohan said as he read the guide book, 
"the highest point in Old Tokyo."

     "WOW!" Goten exclaimed, "It's soooooo cool!!!"

     "Yeah!" Trunks replied, equally excited, "can we go up?"

     Gohan, Goku, and Videl all looked at each other and shrugged.  
"Why not," Goku said, "It'll be fun."

    "YIPPEE!!!!" the two small super powered children exclaimed.

     A short elevator ride later and the group of five were at the 
top of the old tower.  "This says," Gohan 
said as he continued to read the book, "Tokyo Tower had to be rebuilt 
in 1996 after it was destroyed in 
a battle between Space Godzilla, Godzilla and the Sailor Senshi.  A 
corilary note says," Gohan flipped to 
the appropriate page, "this was three months before Godzilla died 
from radiation overload."

    "Gohan," Videl said as she wrapped her arms around his waist, "in 
case you haven't noticed.  No one 
is paying attention to you."

     Trunks and Goku were hanging over the railing, their eyes closed 
as the breeze blew in their faces.  
Goten had placed several yen in a binocular machine and was now 
scanning the sights of Old Tokyo.  
Gohan looked at his girlfriend (yes she was officially his 
girlfriend) and replied, "What does that make 
you?  Chopped Sushi?"

     "Let's go up to the real top of the Tower," Videl whispered in 
his ear in a way that made it turn red, 
"I'm sure the three 'kids' can behave for a little while."

     It didn't take too long before the two of them silently flew up 
through the towers framework and they 
sat on one of the girders and snuggled.  Life had been good lately, 
Gohan reflected.  Majin Buu had 
been defeated five months ago, things had gotten quiet and all of 
them had been able to settle into 
normal lives.... or at least as normal as life for Saya-Jins, their 
halfling kids, and all those connected to 
them could get.  In that time, a miracle had happened.  Gohan had 
finally worked up the courage to tell 
Videl how he really felt about her and to his shock and joy 
discovered the feeling was mutual.

     He was drawn out of his reflection by hearing Goten cry, "WHAT'S 
THAT?!!!"

     Goten had been looking through the binoculars at the city.  He 
saw cars, buildings, factories, Tokyo 
Bay, a boat, a giant monster, another fac.... hey!  Wait a minute!

     Goten swung the binoculars back and saw that the monster was 
very real.  It was pretty far out in the 
bay, yet he could see it very clearly.  "WHAT'S THAT?!!!" he cried.

     Suddenly, blackness clamped down over his vision.  The timer on 
the binoculars had run out.  "What 
is it?" Goku asked as he and Trunks looked at Goten in concern.

     "Dad," Goten cried, "I just saw a monster in Tokyo Bay!"

     "Are you sure?" Goku asked.

     "Yes."

     "Hang on.  I'll go check."

    Goku flew out towards Tokyo Bay but a quick search reveled 
nothing.  "I didn't see anything," he 
said.

    "Ah, Goten was probably pulling another trick," Trunks said with 
a dismissive wave.

    "I WAS NOT!" Goten yelled, "It was big and green and had three 
rows of fins on its back."

    Gohan (who, with Videl, had rejoined the group) held up the book 
and pointed to a picture as he 
asked, "Did it look like this?"

    Goten looked at the picture before he said, "That's it!  That's 
the monster I saw!"

    Gohan read the caption under the picture, "Godzilla."

    Goku smiled as he said, "Goten, playing a trick like that isn't 
nice.  Godzilla's been dead for years."

    Gohan said, "Actually, the ORIGINAL is.  However, it was believed 
that Godzillas son died in the 
battle with the monster know as Destroyer as well...."

    Videl said sarcastically, "I sense a 'but' coming."

     "BUT," Gohan added, "the body disappeared from where it was 
supposed to be.  At first, it was 
though that Godzilla Junior just crawled back into the sea and died.  
They searched all the way up and 
down the coast..... and they never found the body."
