Very nice.  I liked your tone and handling of the situation.  

I also loved the bit with kasumi at the end.  yes!!  Kasumi is evil!!  it's
all just a plot, a ploy!!  She's not that oblivious... she just wants to mke
sure no one gets in her way...  

Trust me in 20 years when she is running the world you will be happier.  And
you will still never know what happened.  


Sorry, got off on my rant for a moment.  Back to your story.  I really liked
it.  It was a nice scene of developement between Ranma and Akane, and it was
weel handled.  The only thing that seemed a bit out of character for me.. is
I can't see Akane getting relaxed enough to put her head in Ranma's lap.
 Remember... these two can barely TALK to each other without the fear and
anxiety making them insult each other.  I think just touching hands together
would be as dramatic a change for the two.  

To use an example from my work...  in Fulfillment [plug plug], a story based
on, in part, an acknowledgement that Ranma does prefer Akane, they barely
touch.  Instead the growing intimacy is shown in gestures and expressions.  I
would reccomend a more.. hands off approach.  But that is only a suggestion.
 

Still I liked your story I look forward to seeing more.
