I am having a great deal of trouble finding time to write while
working full-time. Work takes the best hours of the day from me.
I'd love to write after coming home, but I just don't know how. I'm
too drained. In a sense, the problem is that my job is too
interesting. As a software engineer, I write code and hunt down bugs
all day long. By the end of the day, I'm all thunk out.

Know the feeling well. I have tried to write somethings, but so far I just
have not had the time or drive to finish them. However, I recently bought a
psion organiser in a sale and have found that it actually makes it easier to
try to work on something. Unlike a portable it is light and small enough to
carry anywhere. I have actually found it possible to write for work and to
attempt a fanfic while travelling on a train or on London Underground. At
such times, I have able to just add a paragraph or even just a sentence as the
idea comes. It sure beats sitting around doing nothing while waiting for
airplanes to take off or a late train to arrive. With the new palmtops
coming out, the price is bound to drop even further than it has already. It
could be well worth keeping your eyes open for a bargin.
