The Weekly FFML FanFic Synopses List
For the week ending 24 May 1997

[Ed Notes: Well, here we go. The VERY FIRST Weekly Synopses List,
for the week ending 24 May 1997. Thanks go out to all who sent their
summaries, let's hope that this goes on to be a fixture of the FFML.
Since this is the first time, I'll make the Editor Notes a little larger
than normal.]
[Well, tell me what you think. Everyone happy with the format? I
tried my best, and will try my best to keep everything alphabetical,
but I'm sure that sooner or later something will be placed wrong. I
am, after all, only human. Crossovers from ANY and ALL series were
placed at the very END of the List, so be sure to always check there
just in case there's a X-over from your favourite series. 'A', 'The', etc,
were counted as words in the alphabetical sort.]
[Some people indented their summaries when they sent them to
me. I tried it out in the draft of this List, but indenting just made
it look messy, so I deleted the indenting in the summaries that
had them.]

The plan is to have the last four lists on my page, so that people can
go there to check for author's email addresses/etc before they succum
to the temptation of sending messages to the FFML. If anyone wants
to archive all the lists, not just the last four, then please tell me so I
can link your site in later lists.]
[You'll notice that when people sent me summaries for more than one
of their stories, I compiled them into one entry. It seemed the best
way to do it. I hope no-one abuses the 10 line limit by sending lots
of chapter summaries, if you send a lot of chapter summaries at
once, it would be expected that they be short, like the ones in
this post.]

3. The spell binding 'light' or (Guo) is gone, what does Guo

Anyone who's read Ai No Kodomo knows what this fic is about. For those
of you who haven't read it I recommend reading the original ANK first as
an introduction to the characters.
I know, I know... you don't read NextGen fics right? Well the original
ANK was centered around the original Ranma cast, not the kids so much.
Try it, you might like it. With ANK2 I've decided to follow the NextGen
lives a bit more.

Genre: Lime
1. Ranma and Akane revisit Jusenkyo, intent on curing Ranma. The mission
fails, resulting in Akane becoming cursed in the "Spring of Drowned Man".
Contains suggested sex and nudity. Part One of Three.
2. After returning from their trip to Jusenkyo, Ranma discovers the joys of
Motherhood as Akane gets him (her) pregnant! All is not wine and roses for
the new Mom, though, as someone is harboring *very* ill will toward Akane.
Contains suggested sex and nudity. Part two of three.
3. Conclusion. Ranma undergoes some major changes as motherhood makes
it's mark on the ways of the warrior. As hard as Ranma tries to carry the new
baby to term, she ends up losing it in a battle to save Akane's life. Contains
suggested sex and nudity. Part Three of Three.

"Bedtime Story"

Genre: Amazon history, background
Date/time story was sent to FFML: 24 May @ 1500 hours
As part of her Amazon training, Shampoo must learn of the history of
her Amazon village. Cologne tells her of the matriarchy which 2000 years
ago spawned the village. She tells how the macho pride of one man led to
the destruction of the matriarchy and how the last Queen had one small
group hidden away in the mountains to survive. Shampoo learns of the last
Queen's final orders, that the village was to be Amazon, before the Queen
led the rest of her people to their final war and her own death. At the end,
Shampoo has perhaps learned something more than what Cologne told her.
This tale is an adaptation to the Takahashi Universe of a true story.

This story takes place after volume 38 of the manga series. It draws
ideas from both the anime and the manga. The story deals mainly with
the relationship between Ranma and Nabiki. It is basically a Nabiki
gets Ranma fic.

Note: This story builds on events described in "Emptiness and
Renewal" by Mark Doherty. It assumes a knowledge of the events
described therein. If you haven't already done so, please read
"Emptiness and Renewal" before starting this fic.
Fulfillment describes reactions and relationships that were established
in E&R. It deals with the first visit that Ukyou makes back to her
home dimension with the Ranma from the other dimension. During
the course of the visit various major characters find themselves
facing some rather unpleasant revelations.
It appears that this story hasn't posted yet (5/21) so I may repost.

their engagement and their feelings. Ryouga and Ukyou have become a
couple, to everyone's surprise. But the peace is shattered when
Ranma-chan is raped, apparenty by Ryouga. Now, Ryouga's only friends
have become his enemies and he must uncover the truth of what happened
to Ranma. Currently incomplete.

In the aftermath of Ranma's leaving, the people in Nerima are forced
to deal with their own problems. Nabiki finds herself thrust into an
untenable position, while Ukyou, Ryouga, and Kunou are faced with
truths about themselves and those they love that could change their
lives forever. This is set in the upheaval after Ranma heads for China
to deal with the problems caused by the promises to Cologne. Akane
is left behind to deal with pregnancy and other problems. So begins a
new chapter in everyone's lives. Will they become stronger or fall by
the wayside? Only time will tell.

as he travels across China and Tibet, searching for an answer. Learn
of the sacrifices made, the secrets hidden, and the lessons learned. And
what do these strange occurences bode for Ranma, his daughter Ranko, and
his beloved Akane? And what about Ryouga?

"The Masks We Must Wear"

This story assumes the Ranma Canon without changes, but things
are not as they seem on the surface. There is an underlying truth
that is only hinted at in the Canon Story... A conspiracy, if you will,
that is revealed in this story. The story is set on an unspecified day
in the period between the appearances of Ukyou and Nodoka
Saotome. Phrased another way: "almost a year" has elapsed since
Ranma's arrival at the Tendo-ke. This story reveals one writer's
view of how Ranma and Akane may _really_ feel about each
other... at least in this story. Who knows about the next one?

Continuing, after a lengthy hiatus, the story of an alternate world in
which the second and later seasons of Sailor Moon never happened,
and the Sailor Senshi were never awakened from their memory erasure.
In this chapter, more clues about the aims of the mysterious Mastermind
who plots against the reawakened Senshi are revealed, and Serena and
Lita are reunited. (In case it's not obvious, this storyline uses a mixture
of Japanese and North American elements.)

"Innocent Child"

Sometimes, you really have to wonder if *anything* could stop Aeka and
Ryouko's constant squabbling . . . the way their tempers rage sometimes,
would they even notice if someone they both cared about was in the line
of fire?
"Innocent Child" is the story of the *aftermath* of one such possible
occurence, seeing how the regular cast reacts to what happened -
both the death of someone they all cared about, and the miracle that
takes some of the sting away from the events they were witness to.

he drops the name of his "apprentice," Ranma Saotome. Serana's not too
happy about things, and Luna, suspecting Happosai as some negaverse threat,
decide heading off to Nerima would be in their best interest. The following
day, Ranma's hectic as usual day with his fiancee's is interupted by a
quintet of girls in skimpy skirts...

building between Akane and Ranma. It's a very rough cut chapter and
will probably be revised in the near future.
