The first comic I ever read was an
issue of Plastic Man...  I don't
remember much, just that he was on some
"quest" with his Hawaiian sidekick

The first Japanese comic I ever read...
hmm... I remember reading
a comic about a set of mecha (years
ago)  It was very "Voltron-esque"  
Afraid, I don't remember the name. 
More recently, Viz's Ranma 1/2
part 3 issue 1...
