Tell me, do you have time to read very many fanfics coming through
this list? Don't you feel badly that you can't read more of them,
and give some of those authors a chance to be read? I know I do.
That's one major reason I was making this suggestion.

Yes I have time to read, although I'm an avid reader so making time isn't a
problem. I don't feel badly that I can't read more fics. I see the problem
differently. There's more spam then fics around here.

There is now, mainly because of this thread.

Then you must not like Ranma very much, or you must have a GREAT deal
more free time than most of us do. At last count, I think
approximately 50 Ranma fics went through the list last week. (before
this spam thread began) So...you read each and every one of those?

Reading fics is important to me. I've stated before that I read first the
fics whose Anime series I know about. Then I read those fics that I don't
know to much about. I don't through any fic out. I got stuff for Nuku-Nuku
who I don't know anything about but I WILL read them.

I've been holding onto fics from anime series I *do* know about and
*do* like for weeks now, for lack of time to read them. Why?
Because I'm too busy reading other fics from series I like, or trying
to write my own fanfic.

I assume you're just a reader, as opposed to a writer, with all that
time you spend just reading fics, right?

I have read every
Ranma fic that's passed through here. I'm also a fast read, family trait I
think, most fics take me 5-30 minutes depending upon size. Rarely have I
ever gone over 45 minutes for a single fic.

Okay, lemme do some quick math here. I'm going to assume 15-20
minutes for each Ranma fic. Counting those ~50 fics from the past
week, this totals to somewhere around 14-15 hours a week, just
reading the Ranma fics.

And you say you have other fics you're reading or saving for later,
too? I don't know how you do it.

Do you ever C&C any of these fics? (Average C&C time for me is
between 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the length of the fic.
I give *detailed* C&C.)

I'm also a night owl, I'm
interested in fics so I'll give up sleep read them. I've got off-topic
stuff from 95 still sitting around I haven't read. We just have different
priorities that's all.

Yes, I know we do. And I realize that just about every FFMLer is
going to have a different set of priorities, and a different amount
of free time on his or her hands. I know I don't have anywhere near
that amount of free time to spend just *reading* fics. I *might*
have that amount of free time to spend reading fics, wading through
the list content, and maybe C&Cing a fic every now and then, when I
can spare the time. My fic writing usually gets put off til the
weekend, when I have more free time. Time which I really should be
spending outside, doing something, getting some fresh air, but hey.
The FFML has become my life, considering the amount of time I put
into it nowadays.

That's sad.
