So here is a question. If a person was subscribed to all five
lists, how would the messages he see change? They would still
get the 'fics, the discussion, and the spam.

Answer: There will always be those, who, like on newsgroups, post on
multiple lists. If you had five lists, and some moron posted an 'important'
message on all five lists, you'd be getting it five times.

As much as it boggles the mind, this is probably true.

'My new web page has stories from Ranma, Sailor Moon, and DBZ. I guess
I better send this msg to all three fic lists, and the discussion list.
Heck, while I'm at it, I might as well send it over to the spam list,
too. After all, they won't mind.'

Maybe I was giving people too much credit in my earlier posts.

Still, therre is a huge diff between a mailing list, and usenet. I
*think* that the admin can set up a filter that will refuse msg's
that are cc to more than one list @fanfic.com.

Also, anyone who made this mistake once, would not do so a second
time. If nothing else, as a last resort, they could be removed
from the lists. (Boot to the head! :)

There seems to be a lot of talk about how difficult this would be on
the admin's end. As I have stated previously, I have no experience
in running a mailing list. But I take it that setting up five mailing
lists, and maintaining them, would be a difficlut task?

Other then the occaisonal, one time crossposting, and the fact that
WW is not going to go to the trouble to set up and maintan five lists,
what are some of the other problems? (I know, these two should be enough
for me, but I still can't see how the idea is stupid.)
