Frankly I think we need more much and many more 
SELFINSERTION FICS. I mean doesn't everybody like Twister's 
story or Oh My God or Rhi an TI's Excellant Adventure. It 
isn't the type of story it's how well done it is. Dis the 
author bore you or catch your interest? Ideas alone just 
don't do the job but an old plot  put in a new way and told 
with good characterization-that is worth reading. Example 
read the original five Myth Adventures by Robert Aspirin.
