Whatup...All i gotta say is, check out the RESPONSES Damon got
for his idea!  On the one hand, we had the cool people who gave their
responses in a nice way.  "I agree." / "I disagree." "Here's why."

And then the people who may have jabbed at him but maintained their tact.
"Damn straight." / "You're loony."  "Wanna know why?"

But I'm not going to side here.  This isn't about Damon's letter.

This is about the lamers that responded to his proposal.

I won't say any names, because if you're like me, you took notice (with a
sigh and an expression of disbelief like "i don't believe anyone could be this
lame!"
when they wrote their stupid letters and made a mental note of who they are.

"Open letter to Casale", "you want 5 lists? DO IT THEN!" and others only 

serve to explain why some of the ffml'ers, including myself,

think there's some room for improvement in the ffml population.

ks here!
And when I say "new", i mean anywhere within the last month or two.
Nothing bugs me like people who come, straight off the virtual boat,
to this list..or to any place, and then start acting like they own it.
On IRC...when these newbies come up in the spot and start acting wild
I ban them instantly!  Basically, when you come into someone's
house, you should use keep a modicum of respect.  I'm not talking
about respectable _language_...you guys seem to have pretended to
master that.  I'm talking about respect in what you say.  If you want to
say something disdainful about someone...that doesn't mean you have
to up and say "Your motives are self-serving and selfish!"

I noticed the same kind of silly "flames" that were tossed at Redneck Gaijin
when he made his "Why i don't C&C" post a while ago.  Was it inflammatory?
Hell yeah...but did it call for the name slinging?  Hell no!  (Heh..in fact, I
sorta
identified with what he was saying, even if it wasn't exactly right...)

To sum, I'll say...at first I thought Damon had lost his marbles.  Then I saw
some of the wonderful responses.  After that, I was thinking "Ya know...we
could do with a Great Purge...or maybe split the list into two parts, one
for the cool and one for the fire spitters and llamas."

And that's sad.


Bah...you're already firing up your mail client on me to call me a hypocrite.
Don't even bother, man, I already know.  But someone had to say it.  It's just
that
if i felt like telling it to you in a roundabout way, you might not get it!
