Lastly, someone recently posted a list of the authors they would like to

what the New FFMLs would be like, and as much as I miss the types of

Then you COMPLETELY missed my point. I rallied off a list of names I
happened to be thinking about at the time. While I do consider that a
friends list, I also missed MANY truley important people to me (that's
why I made the disclaimer when I started blanking) The point was to show
what a moronic and possibly harmful idea it was especially since it
would break up many friendships that had already started. Do you REALLY
think I'm that shallow? Must I tag all my satire to avoid looking like
what I'm trying to rally against?

Doh! Hold it! Urch! Woah! :)

Sorry Keener, my words were not meant to reflect on you personally. Perhaps
I did miss your point at first, but considering what I felt when I read
your "friends list" maybe the point *was* taken after all. I guess my
satire radar was malfunctioning when I read your first post *^_^*

Forgive me, perhaps I'm overreacting but the thought that I might have
caused pain like this is simply too much for me to bear!

Now that I know where you were coming from I don't think you're
over-reacting. I just missed the boat when I read your post. But even
though I was out in left field, your point was still taken, as the thought
of lists made of cliques really made me feel like we would be getting even
further away from the "closeness" that Damon seeks.

I know what Damon is hoping to find. I was not there at the very beginning
but close enough to understand what he understandably wishes to resurrect.
But while the social structure of the FFML's golden past *felt* more
closely-knit and provided many fond memories, the list was bound to change.
Mailing lists being what they are will eventually attract more members
making it close to impossible to *know* everyone on the list.

But the thing that I keep thinking about is *why* we are here in the first
place. 3 things: 1) Fics, 2) C&C, and 3) Spam/Discussion. And IMHO, that
list is in order of importance. Hmmm. Ya know...if traffic *were* to become
intolerable to the majority of members on this list, those 3 categories
might make appropriate "sub-lists". The keyword is "if"...

Anyway, my apologies Keener, for 'not being on the ball' (Russian circus
bears are much better than Pandas at that<g>).
