Yes, that might get some people to read it who normally wouldn't. Some
of them might even like it. But generally if you get someone to read
your fic under false pretenses, that reader is likely to avoid your fics
in the future, even when your later ones *are* the kind that that reader
would like.

I think giving the readers an indication of your story's genre is a good
idea; either in tags or in an introduction. I try to do this, to the
extent that I can without giving away spoilers and trying not to ruin
the mood of the story.
