As long as there are fanfics and fanfic threads on these topics, they're not
necessarily bad subjects to discuss, and the FFML has a strong history of
being able to discuss these politely and reasonably instead of falling into
vicious flame wars. Everyone give yourself a pat on the back now, you
should be proud.

As for strong religious views, I wasn't trying to reason with any statements
of faith in that other post. If someone uses secular reasons, I might say
something but if she says "because my holy book said so" why bother? I
can't change what's printed in her copy.

Apart from that, almost anything can be the subject of someone's strong
religious views (i.e. "How dare you write a fanfic in which teenagers get
drunk!"). It's better to agree to disagree than to bar topics from the ML.

bound to have strong religious views on it. Mind taking this to private
email?

It was getting irrelevant anyway.

Spam, spam, spam. Okay, back to more relevant spam - regardless of whether
Allah or nature or the Hindu pantheon or the biology major who lives across
the hall from me made her genome, what happens when Shampoo gets old since
humans can reach over a century but few cats make it to twenty?
