How about:

[FFML][FF][Ranma][Lemon][Violent][Swearing][Religious Themes][Political
Commentary][Uses "Ryouga" instead of "Ryoga"][Bad Grammar][Spoilers][Spoiled
Everything in the Header Tags, Didn't I?]

Also, on many readers, including too many header tags means people can't see
the entire actual title of the story on the list of posts because that gets
pushed too far to the right of the subject line.

I guess I am not going to worry about it. I think if people want to use
those tags, it's find, I have absolutely no objection. But I don't
think we should enforce their use, and I won't be using them myself.

Hmm...

Since parents should monitor their children's Internet use instead of
governments, we do need some kid of warning, i.e. [NC-17], [Not for
Kiddies], etc. that *doesn't* spoil the story but warns parents ahead of
time. The same goes for web pages.

Actually, in this case I'm not sure if "lemon" or "hentai" is the right
label. People who aren't familiar with anime or manga probably won't know
what it means. When I first found r.a.a.s. I thought "Lemon" was just some
author's nom de net (i.e. "I'm posting a story by my friend "Lemon" who
doesn't have newsgroups access), before I actually read that story. If at
the time I was babysitting some sheltered kid and he or she was the one
browsing I couldn't have said "your parents won't approve" in time.

So maybe having some warning labels in the mainstream of whatever dialect
the rest of the page is in might be a good idea (i.e. don't just say "Adult"
if the page is in French). On the other hand, that's a moot point if your
page says "Lemons are NOT FOR CHILDREN because bla bla bla." You post as
much explicit stuff as you wish, picky parents can tell which stuff to
block, no public or private third party gets involved, everyone's happy?

Whatever. There's probably a bunch of reasons this won't work too.
