This is the most interesting/amusing aspect, especially when you
consider that Ryoga, while not _quite_ as boneheadedly sexist as Saotome,
would instinctively regard himself as the protector of such a
frail-seeming young girl
Ranma's fiancees are all martial artists, one of them is an Amazon, and
another is an independent businesswoman who started her own business.
Whereas, Akari who is also a businesswoman, inherited the family business
and knows no martial arts. And Ryoga seems unduly protective of Akane,
even for those situations that she obviously can handle (such as rebuking
Ranma). Ranma may talk sexist, but it seems that he not only attracts, but
prefers strong women.
