When I first got my account with this ISP, I'd already decided that I
wanted a different type of account than is normally available. This is
a business ISP, which means it caters to its customers, for a price.
I'm paying $45 a month for 15 megs, PLUS...
I can run a mailing list if I want to. In fact, I can run any program I
want to (as long as it doesn't hog system resources overly much) whether
or not I'm online at the time.
I'm offering to host one, possibly two, of the sub-FFML's, with slightly
less than 100 subbers each. I would need to talk to WW about mailing
list software, but that's my only major obstacle at this point. I would
also need to coordinate with Gopher to have the sub-FFML(s) archived,
but that's a little less important.
So I should ask: WWolf, after seeing the discussion, and my arguments,
what would you think of splitting up the list? Especially if I were to
take over some of the traffic?
