I just had a strange revolation.
Minna: in English this means "Everyone"
ko: suffex that (from what I understand) stands for "wife". (I'm
basing this on the fact that Mamoru always calls Usagi "Usako".)
So does that mean that when litteraly translated, Minakos name means
"Everyones wife"?
Um.. no. I believe -ko is a dimutive. Such as -ita in Spanish means "little".
This dimutive is very popular with women's names... such as Rumi-ko, Ma-ko,
Mina-ko, etc.
So Usa-ko is sorta like "dear Usagi" or "little Usagi" or something... sort
of like how Usagi give Makoto the nickname Mako-chan.
Aino Minako is a pun of sorts... (as are all rhe senshi names)
"Ai no minna" would be something like "Love of everyone"
the -ko is just a feminine ending...
hope this helps (and is right!)
