Let me explain this carefully, so no one misunderstands.
1) I'm a female, so you couldn't hang me from "furryous gonads" if
you tried.
2) I'm a reasonable person (don't laugh Damon) so I'll explain,
clearly, what I meant by "insulting" your ideas.
I've said before that I've felt that just "inserting" people
into a series is no way to write a crossover. It's not being fiar
to the series that's being inserted into because it's invalidating
what's going on in that universe. Biles' "Still Waters" is a
UY/Ranma crossover that although it gives Shinobu, Lum and Ataru
Jusenkyo curses it doesn't take away the essential parts that make
UY so distinctive.
I also don't think that it's right to do "matchups" because it's a
plot device used by bored editors who can
only think of the fame they can get from seeing "their" characters
beat the crap out of "the other" characters. The flaming monstrosity
that was "Marvel vs. DC" is a testimony to the failure of that
kind of thinking. I've seen that kind of crossover fail miserably
in "the real world" and I'm not about to have that happen to
two of my favorite TV shows.

If you want to debate me further on this, I'm here. But I'm not
going to continue this on the ML because I respect my dear friend
WW too much.
So come on by my e-mail address and we can hash this out like
two normal individuals.
You know, I did *apologize* for this mess, but that was before
the actual text of your message popped up. I don't like flame
wars any more than the next person.
