What do you do to get in the mood for Fanfic Writing?

Getting the mood is easy. I have a nightmare, I want to write about it. I
hear a song, and I start thinking how to write a fic about it. I find it
difficult to keep the mood going. So it generally takes me about two months
to write something like 20k. Unless I'm depressed, in which case I can bang
out 30k in about an hour. I'm not satisfied, and generally end up only
using 1k of that, but it does get written.

Music helps as well. Classical music works best for me. (If you can get
your hands on Classical Thunder, try listening to that for dramatic moments.)
