So my question is this:
What do you do to get in the mood for Fanfic Writing?
Think about it before you answer, you may even want to get in the
mood before writing the response. The various answers we get may
enlighten you, astound you, or maybe even inspire you.
Well, I just 'get in the mood'. The contents of my fic depended on the type
of the mood I am in. So some scenes would be a comedy, some a tearjerker
etc. I can't however, force myself into 'the mood' as you say, as my
writing will suffer. This is because my fic depend on the strength of my
emotions; they are like a fuel to sustain my inspirations. Without fuel, my
inspirations will very quickly fizzle out and I am left with one, in my
opinion, messy fic which I am not happy with. Therefore, I wait till 'the
mood' comes naturally to me, then I start writing.
