Errrr....isn't Jessie and Meggie's father also named Ranma? So how come

the

twins were not surprised when Ranma introduced himself as Ranma? :)

I wondered about that too, but I came to a conclusion: they consider their
father's name "Daddy", and don't really get that his name is "Ranma".

Any other theories?
