by Lonely Planet.  The dates will seem a little funny because it's an Aussie

Knickers Giving Day
     14 March.  This is a slightly bizarre recent addition to the collection
of festivals in Japan.  The idea is that men should reciprocate the gift of
chocolates on 14 February, St Valentine's Day, with a gift of panties for
their lady!
