        Nope, Ranma-chan slips it on right after getting out of the pool.
She notices it, wonders why she's not wearing it, and puts it on.  Also, the
idea sounds normal.  It's a "magical artifact bought at some junk store"
plot device, I think.  Just take a look at all the other fanfics with a
"magical artifact bought at some junk store" thing!  "Careful Destinies" is one.

You know i was trying to figure out what was bugging me about that fic and
you just hit the nail on the head.  Specialy how she wouldn't let the Nurses
take the ring from her.  I noticed that but didn't make to much of a fuss
about it.  But now that Ranma is stuck as a girl you just have to wonder
about that ring.
