Heh. As a Taijiquan practitioner myself, I was intrigued by this 'fic.
It's very interesting, especially since it's viable for Kasumi to practice
it (at least for relaxation.) But I was a bit surprised as why Ranma
didn't recognize it. Given how widely varied the Musabetsu Kakutou style
is, it's my guess it would have some derivations of one of the most
powerful martial arts on Earth. In fact, for my 'fics I assume that Ranma
learned it while very young, since Taiji is very good for learning basics
--and it's also the art that must be mastered at the end of one's
training, since it's also very strong.

(BTW, you can see Ranma --in both forms-- practicing Taiji, along with
Genma and Akane. It's right in the beginning of the first opening scene:
Ranma-chan first appears practicing the stereotypical Taiji kicks, then
crouches into the Crawling-Snake posture, so it seems she's following the
Form of 24 Movements. Afterwards, Ranma-kun, Akane and Genma-panda take up
the screen by performing the Sweeping-Clouds technique, finishing up with
the initial posture for a Pushing-the-Mountain strike.)
