Bravo!  A very nice extrapolation of the characters and a convincing blend
of canon and extrapolation... in my not particularly humble opinion. ^_^

Some of the comments, so far, make me wonder if their writers understand the
story. For example:

I still think your story could be served
better by a more balanced portrayl of Akane, especially considering the
wonderful depth you've given to the other characters.

I don't think you should take this one too much to heart. Akane's distrust
of Ranma and total rejection of him may seem extreme to some, but consider
that her distrust of Ranma has been shown again and in the canon story. So
far as I know, she hasn't actually seen Ranma *kissing* any other girl in
the canon story line. She normally only sees Ranma being hugged which sends
her into a rage. If this is indeed the first 'kiss' she's seen, I don't
think it's a very big stretch to believe she would react the way she has in
this story. She's never listened to Ranma's explainations in the past, why
should this be different? Besides, unless the story goes in an unexpected
direction, Akane has been relegated to minor character status. There's
nothing wrong with that in the cause of telling a good story.  The only
difficult thing for me was Akane's oddly calm reaction to Ryouga's lying
proclamation of her pregnancy. Seems like she should have gone off like a
tactical nuke at that one... o_o;;;

I hope you continue this. I'm really looking forward to seeng the way you
handle the new dynamics of the three way relationship between Ranma,
Shampoo, and Ukyo.
