True, but it could charm the socks of anybody (if you did it right). Mix a
bit of mythism here, a bit of romance there and you might be able to
concoct a reasonable good story. Any of you heard of tales where musical
instruments can be used to amplify one person's ki and therefore could be
used as a weapon? The Chinese cinema scene have lots of these with mythical
martials arts thrown in to produce an unbelievable action movie. Too bad
most of the things that happened to Ranma happened in Japan otherwise I
might be tempted to write a fic about Ranma in the 14thC China. Quite a
challenging prospect.
