Of course, the two best SERRAted Edge books were mostly written by her
husband Larry Dixon, who is a self-admitted otaku. ;)  He's the one who
created the character of Tannim.

But yeah, Andre and Di could work, too.

Heck, just throw in any person from modern times with a setting where they
are involved with the supernatural in everyday life. ;)
