Just got home today to find 155 mail messages from this list, including
several Ranma/Xena and Ranma/Myth crossover comments. I'm now processing
these, as well as working out plots for the stories I want to do from
the two ideas, so those who mailed me or the list can expect to hear
more later. My ideas can be changed, of course, but here's where I am
right now. Read this stuff only if you want to C&C before the drafting
begins--and I _can_ use help on a number of points in the Xena
crossover, and general ideas on the other. If you'd rather be surprised,
by what you read, stop reading now.

__Ranma meets Xena__  (No title yet)

By some means, Ranma, Akane, Nabiki, Ryoga, and the Kuno siblings go
back in time to the China or Japan of Xena's time. Xena has been
tracking Callisto (the post-ambrosia divine version), who is after some
artifacts that will increase her powers. One of the Greek gods or
perhaps a Titan (like Prometheus) sets the whole thing up, wanting to
stop Callisto from becoming that powerful. This plot is really more of a
red herring for bits of character interaction, such as:
1) Tatewaki falls in love with Xena; 2) Gabrielle gives Akane poetic
advice about knowing when you're in love; 3) Joxer convinces Ryoga he's
a great warrior and gives him bogus advice about how to impress people;
4) Nabiki and Salmoneus exchange moneymaking techniques; 5) Kodachi is
on Callisto's side, thinking a goddess can win her her darling Ranma.
Yeah, right. Of course, Ranma and Xena will fight side by side at the
end, maybe having a leaping contest along the way.

What I need ideas for:  where in China/Japan, and what artifacts? Is
there a Japanese deity who would make a good ally or enemy for Callisto?
(w/details of such a deity)
Although Jusenkyo comes to mind as a location, I don't think it's as old
as the Xena continuum, so the springs probably wouldn't be cursed yet.


__Ranma meets Myth.Inc.___  (no title yet)

Skeeve, Aahz, Tanda, Bunny, Nunzio, and maybe Massha come to Nerima with
the D-Hopper pursuing an old enemy (I'm being coy on this point; not
that there are that many options, of course) who has recently gained a
new source of power. Unfortunately, Skeeve imitates various R 1/2
characters when he uses his disguise spells, leading to numerous
confusing encounters which mostly get either Ranma (Skeeve's disguise)
or Ryoga (Aahz's disguise) in trouble. Meanwhile, the old enemy is
barhopping with Happosai. Ranma will probably have to fight some tough
opponent from the Myth continuum; I'm currently thinking a troll who's
not so nice as Chumley. And yes, Akane will probably bop Ranma for
talking to both Tanda AND Bunny, though frankly Bunny's probably too
attached to Skeeve, being his official moll in public places as well as
being in love with him in private, to make Akane jealous.
I'm not going to list my riffs here; they will be better if they aren't
telegraphed. I will say that the cooking of all the R 1/2 girls and
Aahz's stomach are connected.
