Actually, I once knew a girl who had been put on the 'Pill' to regulate
her hormonal cycles. I believe that this therapy is fairly common for
endomitriosis (spelling?). I would guess that since Japan didn't/doesn't
allow oral contraceptives, use of them as hormone therapy would be a
legitimate way of prescribing them.
