Nodoka:

I found it strange that Nodoka immediately blamed Ranma for the
situation, when it was obvious to anyone with a clue (Yes, those types
people are lacking in R1/2) that the entire fiasco was Akane's fault, not
her son's, and that the Tendo's honor was at fault. Certainly not Ranma's
honor. With Japan's biased pro-male standpoint, Nodoka should have blamed
Akane first. I understand why you did it this way, but the evidence
seems to point the other way.

hmm... well, I figured that yes, Ryouga's lie would be a big stain on
Akane's honor, but I didn't think Nodoka would be in a position where she
could punish Akane, so instead she turned on Ranma... you see, I was
trying to show that by this point, Nodoka was a little desperate, trying
to cling to beliefs that just didn't work in modern society. To her, the
idea of Ranma not marrying Akane was like the straw that broke the camels
back, and she finnally went a little over board. I figured that if one has
held a dream for as long as she has, having it dashed must have been a
real blow. As she stated, after hearing Ranma's story, she wasn't very
impressed by his "manliness", and then to have this last little peice
thrown in her face was enough to cause her to lash out. <shrug> maybe I'm
wrong, and went to far, but that's the way I interpretted it.

Honor:

You've conveniently ignored Akane and Ryouga's honor. Even though
Ryouga lied, what he said would put him in *major* trouble with the
Tendos, and it would ruin Akane. Try not to use a rule unless you apply
it to *everyone*.

I'm aware of that. Ryouga and Akane are going to have a lot of trouble
because of Ryouga's thoughtlessness.

Akane:

I seriously hope that Akane did not dump Ranma over a kiss. Considering
all the other things which have happened, this is a very weak excuse. I
haven't read the first part, so I am going by what was stated in part 2.
She did not end the engagement when she caught Ranma and Shampoo naked in
the bath, so for her to end it on a "kiss" doesn't make sense. Like I
said, I haven't read the events surrounding it, so I may be wrong here.

well, the kiss was kinda the final straw. there was lots of build up that
surrounded the situation.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Akane will probably
treat Ryouga the same way as she did Ranma, since apparently she hasn't
learned anything out of the situation. I find it hard to believe that all
of Akane's major faults only apply to Ranma and that they magically
disappear once the two break up or get married.

I agree. none of any character's faults aren't just going to go away once
they settle down, unless they work out the problem.
