Well, it would have been 'normal' if it was in Tomobiki... But it wasn't,
and so it's not a very honourable thing to do, especially when it was
all to stop Ranma and Akane getting together!

Well, if she hadn't of hunted down Ranma, then it wouldn't have happened.
That's why it was Ukyou's fault - she made it happen. If she had of
been a good girl and not done any revenge seeking and hunting down, then
she wouldn't have suddenly fallen back in love with Ranma because he
called her "cute" twice!
Oh come now, things are never as one-sided as that. It could just as easily
be said that it was Genma's fault, for creating a false engagement in the
first place and then running out on it. Or Ranma's fault, for first choosing
okonomiyaki over Ukyou(:P), and then seemingly showing a preference for her
over Akane when Ukyou returned(uncute v cute fiancee).
I don't really see how it can fully be her fault that she's in love with a
man who doesn't have the decency to tell her that he doesn't love her back,
instead trying underhand techniques to get rid of her. And who has said that
he'd look after her forever(sauce episodes, which everyone loves to pull
out)... hell, as far as I'm concerned, it's more Ranma's fault than anyone
elses, even Genma.
But then, the poor girl was desperate after never having a real boy in
love with her, as she dressed like a man all the time... So if she had
of been a normal girl, then she wouldn't have been engaged to Ranma,
either, because she wouldn't have needed to be loved by a (real) man
so much...
Yes, true. But, as I sometimes say to C&Cers of my stranger ideas in fics,
'normal is boring'. Especially in Ranma1/2. By that manga's standards, she
is normal(As is Akane. Shampoo and Happosai aren't, they're too extreme.)
If she was a normal girl, she wouldn't fit into the world she lives.
