  Those two movies were not written by Rumiko Takahashi, and thus are not
canon.  They don't even appear in the manga to be truthful, and the manga
is about the only thing you can truthfully say is canon.  Even the anime
itself to certain extents can not be counted.  There are countless
examples of Akane beating Ranma because of a misjudgment.  The first time
Shampoo appears, it happens practically every other page.
  Akane bashes Ranma all the time for "picking on Ryouga" despite the
blantently obvious fact that Ryouga always comes charging in yelling
"Ranma, prepare to DIE!" and attacks Ranma without any provocation.

  Just keep looking around, you'll find other examples of this, it isn't
that hard at all.
