Any really - just something bad enough to make her think she has really given
up on him - possibly somthing rather compromising happening with either Ukyou
or shampoo - that seems most likely.

 Nuh uh. FIRST Nabiki would sell seven minutes alone with Ranma to each
 of his prospective matches (including seven minutes to Kuno and Mikado
 for time alone with Ranma-chan). Then she would most likely use him as
 muscle to enforce her 'business dealings'. THEN she would sell him to
 Kodachi (retaining the buyback rights should it not work out, of
 course). She would ALSO sell the Pig-tailed girl to Kuno, considering
 that Ranma's going to be living in the Kuno mansion anyway, and cold
 water is generally unavoidable. Might as well profit from it.

 Five words: Not This Close To Exams! I couldn't handle it! Not to
 mention that as soon as you posted it Ms. Takahashi would start
 spotaneously choking on her sake.

I'm trying to finish out a standard Ranma/Akane fic first (i've challenged
myself to solve all the relationship problems in the story without anyone
changing character (without due reason) and without adding any new characters
(they all have to be the goddesses') (so far It looks like I can make ranma
grow up for the right reasons but its going to take a lot of doing.:)

 
 After that... hey, why not? If some twisted individual can put
 Ranma-chan and Ryouga together (In several fics, including lemons and
 non-lemons), anything is possible.
 

Maybe this summer sometime - if someone hasn't already done it better.
