Uh, boy...
Okay, this is a trailer for a Evangelion story idea that's been
rattling around in my head for the past two weeks. C&C are appreciated
(I'm also sending this to the EVA ML, so I would like some C&C form
them as well)
Standard disclaimer about Evangelion being a trademark of Gainax goes

Earth-2018
From space, the planet Earth looked the same as it did for countless
centuries...if one didn't count the fact that it was tilted more on
its axis, had less land area, and a large red spot where Antartica used
to be--a result of the Second Impact. A small spacecraft heads toward
the planet.....
Tokyo # 3--NERV HQ
"Lieutenant? I think you better have a look at this." A radar
supervisor with LT bars leans over a radar display station.
"What is it?"
"Unknown, sir. Whatever it is, it doesn't match any known Earth
ship indentification profile."
"Are you saying its an Angel?"
"Sir, the computers can't identify it as an Angel either."
"Damn, a complete unknown." He looks over to another tech at a
communications station.
"Go to Stage Two alert now! And alert Captain Katsuragi right away..."
Earth orbit
The spacecraft began to slow to orbital speed. As it did, a small pod
broke away from the craft, and began its own fall to Earth.....
NERV HQ
"Captain Katsuragi! The unknown has made orbit at 20 miles above
the Equator. A small pod has broken away form the main ship and is on
an entry trajectory."
"Course and projected landing point?"
The computers calculate the pod's course....
"Ma'am, if the pod does not break apart on atmospheric entry, it
willimpact in Tokyo #3 in 5 hours."
"Declare First Stage alert now! Activate the EVA units for possible
combat!"
10 miles above the Equator....
The entry pod begins to heat up as it hits the outer fringes of the
atmosphere, it's landing site already determined by the parent ship
orbiting above. The pod, and it's cargo, dives further down into the
atmosphere...to a meeting with destiny...
Who's in the pod?
Why was the ship sent?
Who sent the ship?
What "destiny" lies ahead for NERV and the EVA pilots?
What old friend will return? (Baited question, I know...)
Knight Productions (no relation to SkyKnight Productions, its just my
school's mascot..) present,
VOYAGE OF THE ODYSSEY
A story of:
NEON GENESIS EVANGELION
Author's Notes:
Like I said, that idea has been rattling about in my head for the past
two months or so. Kudos to the person (I suspect there are a lot who
will) who figures out the answer to the "baited question"
Why an entry pod and not a UFO shuttle
A> Earth tends to be a little trigger happy unknown ships heading
toward a city.
B>It's more dramatic that way.
I just have a few questions (mostly to the EVA list, but anyone can
resopond):
How many Rei clones (live and in vitro) were there in the series? I'm not counting the
movie, and I've only seen up to episode 8 (thank you SO much AD Vision,
grumble, grumble...)
Is it possible to steal one of the in-vitro clones?
Are the Children physic?
Would it be >stretching< the plot *just* a bit to include a race
of...er...humans/aliens more advanced that the Angels and who have a
base in the solar system?
How advanced is human tech in relation to space travel in the series?
That's all for now. Please send me C&C (flames will be ignored execpt
for really good arguements)
