*SPLASH*
Startled out of his reverie by the sudden wet noise,
the Jusenkyou guide dropped his pipe and ran outside his little
shack to locate the source of the splashing. He grimaced, seeing
what appeared to be a dripping wet young woman crawling out of
one of his newest springs.
A second of inspection revealed her to be wearing clothes,
so at least he knew that she was human, and not some poor forest
animal that had stumbled into the spring.
He sighed, and pulled out his spiral notebook with all the
maps and names of the springs and held it up for her to see.
"Oh, very bad, young miss. You fall in Akaneniichuan, spring of
drowned violent young japanese girl. Very tragic story of girl who drown
in spring two year ago."
"Too bad it wasn't permanent."
"Urr... Yes, well, girl respond well to mouth to mouth
ressuciation." This was new. Usually, the victims of the Jusenkyou
springs were quite upset by their new curse. This girl seemed quite
content, pleased, in fact, as she pulled out a mirror and examined
her new face.
"Now hot water changes me back to normal and cold water restores
the curse, right?"
"Yessss.... Unless you get wet with water from special bucket..."
"Hmmm... I don't think that's necessary yet, but I may be back."
As the girl rose to her full height in the slightly oversized
leotard, and started twirling the ribbon behind her, the Guide got
the awful sensation that he wasn't dealing with someone who was
completely sane.
"Any thing else for young miss?"
"Oh, no! You've helped quite enough, thank-you. Now I can
finally lure my Ranma-sama away from that wretched little cockroach.
Oh-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho-ho!"
The Guide wiped a bead of sweat off his forehead as the girl
leaped off in a shower of rose petals, twirling the ribbon behind her.

A Tale of Two Akanes
or
Kodachi's Revenge
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Any takers?
I got this idea from the two recent stories that have
mentioned Ukyou masquerading in one fashion or another as Akane
to be able to stay with Ranma. It's an interesting, if chilling
idea, and I thought that it might be even more exiting, if one
added Kodachi to the mix instead of Ukyou. It could lend itself
to be a chilling psychological thriller or a light comedy of
errors.
If anyone is interested, feel free to take this idea. I'm spending
too much time on 'The Ballad of Ranma and Akane' to start anything
new.
