I know I know,

I said that the last chapter was the Finale but I left some details
out that I couldn't figure out how to fit into the story, so I made
this Aftermath to fill them in.

After this... comes TRIO.

Enjoy and tell me if this was a big waste of time or not at

				SAILOR MOON/GODZILLA:
				 ROAR OF THE BEAST
					Aftermath

Serenity and Godzilla released their most powerful bursts at the
same instant and Space Godzilla was blown up into a huge fireball.
All the Senshi cheered. Jupiter was surprised to hear that hers was
the loudest of them all.

A long pause followed and then, without any warning, Godzilla turned
his head and bit Serenity in half. Everyone stood, dead silent,
unable to believe what had happened. Impossibly loud crunches
emmited from the monsters mouth as he chewed the mortal remains of
their friend, followed by a loud gulp.

Then, a savage growl escaping his lips, Godzilla turned and faced
the Senshi. All of them screamed as the giant saurian unleashed his
red heat beam at them all. Sailor Jupiter cringed, waiting for the
end and was surprised when the heat blast didn't hit her.

The other Senshi weren't so lucky and were atomized in a split
second, a black scorch mark the only remains. "NOOOOOOOOO," Jupiter
cried as white hot lightning surrounded her, "YOU BASTARD!!!"

She unleashed the strongest lightning blast she had ever unleashed
in her life. It turned night into day and left a crater the size of
a city block. When the light faded and her eyes adjusted, Sailor
Jupiter looked and saw.....

The nightmare creature, the destroyer, the fear bringer, the killer.

	Godzilla.

He roared, completely unharmed and stormed towards the small little
mite which had dared to fight him. He picked Jupiter up with his
hand and held her so the two were eye to eye. Then he threw her away
like so much trash.

Jupiter flew through the air but it was Makoto who impacted into the
building. Makoto looked up through the haze and the blood that fell
down into her eyes and looked as Godzilla reared back, preparing to
fire.

Suddenly, he stopped. A strange look passed over his face and with
a small growl, he turned and started to walk away. "No," Mako
whispered as she tried to stand on pain numbed legs, "Don't walk away
from me again. Finish it. Ya hear me. Finish it."

She broke down and cried, whispering "Finish it," like a plea, over
and over again.

That, more then anything else in the dream, was what woke her.

She sat up, gasping for breath. She looked around her apartment and
the fact that it had withstood several monster rampages in the past,
including this recent one, was enough to get her heart to its normal
pace. Her head however, was still racing.

	Elsewhere....

Usagi thrashed on her motel bed, trying to stop the events of the
recent days from replaying in her dreams, and was awakened as Chibi-
Usa kicked her sleepily with her legs and mumbled, "Stop hoggin' the
covers."

Usagi normally would have yelled at her that she wasn't but the
current situation stopped her from doing so. She didn't want to wake
up the rest of the family.

Their house, fortunately, had not been destroyed. However, Godzilla
had come close enough on his rampage towards Space Godzilla that all
the utilities, like water and electricity had been knocked out. So,
until they were restored, the Tsukino clan had checked into a local
motel. Unfortunately, so had just about everybody else in the city
and they were only able to get one room for the five of them.

"I need some fresh air," she thought to herself.

Usagi stood and started to walk but stopped as she almost stepped on
her brother, who had lost the game of "Rock, Paper, Scissor" and was
forced to sleep on the floor. She grabbed her coat and stepped
outside. She breathed in the night air and looked at the stars.
"Funny," she thought, "It was only two nights ago that I was with
Mamo-chan and was doing the exact same thing. If I had known that
shooting star would have caused all this...."

"Are you all right?" a voice above her asked.

Usagi looked up and saw a small black cat looking down at her.
"Hello Luna," she said to the cat, "I'm okay, I guess."

Luna leaped off the overhang of the door and landed on Usagis
shoulder. Luna got a close look at her charge and gasped, "Usagi.
Your covered in sweat! You've probably sweated every bit of moister
out of your body!"

	Elsewhere....

"Is that why," Makoto thought, "my mouth feels like sandpaper?"

She stood and walked to her kitchen. She got a tall glass and got
some water from the tap. She gulped the liquid greedily and sat on a
stool by her table, thinking back to her dream... and to her past
encounters with a certain overgrown lizard. She needed somebody to
talk to. She went to her nightstand and picked up her communicator.

Who should she call? Rei? No, she'd just growl. Minako? No,
ARTIMIS would growl. Ami? No, with all the school work she did on
top of her Senshi duties, that girl needed all the sleep she could
get. One of the Outer Senshi? Would they even care?

That left Usagi. Makoto, for some reason, thought that she had been
the only logical choice all along. She hit the button with the moon
mark on it.

	Back at the motel....

The coin Usagi put into the soda machine clinked and the orange soda
fell out with a slight bang. She drank it up quickly and let out a
sigh as she finished. That felt much better. Suddenly, her
communicator beeped and she opened it. On it appeared Makoto, with
bags under her eyes the size of Saturns rings. "Mako?" Usagi asked
shocked at the condition her friend was in.

"Hey Usagi," Makoto said with a slight smile, "Knew you'd be up for
some reason. I need to talk to someone."

Usagi replied, "Is this about... you know who?"

	"Yes. It's about Godzilla."

"I'll be there soon. I need to talk to somebody too.

	A little later....

Makoto opened the door to admit Usagi in. They sat at the table and
looked at each other before saying at the same time, "You go first."

They both giggled and then Usagi said, "Your the one who called, you
get to go first."

Makoto talked about her dream, not leaving out any of the gory
details. She knew she was shocking Usagi but for her to give the
full effect of how she was feeling, she couldn't hold back. Usagi
sat there, white as a sheet. She licked her lips and said, "I guess..
. I guess I can kind of understand how you feel. You had a bad
experience with him. Your afraid that he'll just kill all you care
for at a moments notice. I, on the other hand, am ready to put that
big lug on a pedestal after what he did for me."

"WHAT?!!" Makoto yelled, shocked to the core, "How could you feel
any compassion, even a little, for that BEAST?!"

"Listen," Usagi said with a raised hand, "I'll explain. I haven't
told any of you what happened when I was inside Space Godzilla. It
was the reason I was up in the first place. I was trying to sort it
all out before I told you. Now I guess is as good a time as any....
"

	Flashback....

Sailor Moon fell through Space Godzillas mouth and was being forced
down, down towards the monsters stomach. She dropped into the
stomach and splashed into a veritable river of golden slime. She
thought she would drown in it. Instead, to her surprise, she found
herself able to take in oxygen in her lungs. "Oh no," a voice she
faintly remembered said in her mind, "it won't be over that easily
for you."

	"Who? What?" she thought back.

"As intelligent as ever I see," the voice sneered.

That sneer, the arrogant tone, now she remembered that voice.
"Rubius," she thought, making the word sound like a curse.

	"Correct," Rubius replied.

"How did you do this? Why are you doing this?"

"How? Ironically, I never would have been able to do any of this
had you not destroyed my physical body so long ago. When my ship was
destroyed, I used the last one of my magical crystals to force my
phycic form out of my physical shell.

"My consciousness floated through space. Unsure of what to do, but
knowing that I would have revenge.

"Then, I sensed it. This creatures mind, waiting on the dark side
of the moon. Waiting to reform. I merged with the creature and let
it know of the existanse of the Ginzuishou. It made a bee line for
you and my subtle influence let it know how it could use the
Ginzuishou most effectively and..."

"Here I am," Sailor Moon finished.

"Yes," Rubius confirmed, "Here you are. Making the most powerful
creature in the cosmos even more powerful. I could just kill you but
that would not be enough. I want you to see your own powers help
destroy this planet and all the beings on it. Then we shall travel
the cosmos and you shall see planet after planet destroyed and this
creature shall grow more powerful as well and since I control this
creature I will be the most powerful being in the galaxy.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH!"

Sailor Moon replied," You... are completely insane."

"I may be mad, but I am SUCCESSFUL and mad! Watch."

Sailor Moon watched as an image appeared before her of Space
Godzilla ripping MOGERA to shreds. Not too long later, Godzilla
appeared and they began to duel. "Do you see?" Rubius taunted, "Not
even the mighty Godzilla can stop me."

The battle continued and Sailor Moon could see that Godzilla was
getting the worst of it. Then, a ball of multicolored light smashed
into the spot right outside where she was. "Raaugh," Rubius roared,
"Blast those Sailor Senshi!"

Sailor Moon could feel the power and emotions coming from the Sailor
Senshis attack and instinctively used them to recharge herself and
transform into Serenity. "NO!" Rubius growled, "You won't get
away!"

Serenity called forth her crystals power and tried to buffet the
incredible force which Rubius directed at her. She felt the exertion
starting to get to her. She could not keep going much longer. Then,
perhaps through divine intervention or dumb luck. Godzilla smashed
one of Space Godzillas shoulder crystals. The mind of Space Godzilla
redirected some of the power in the body to regenerate and reinforce
the crystal, then again as Godzilla destroyed the other one. "NO,"
Rubius yelled, "you stupid beast! I need all the power to..."

Serenity, seeing her chance, blazed forth with an incredible force
that destroyed the consciousness of Rubius in an instant. Serenity
floated up and blasted her way to freedom, into the night sky.....

"...and the rest," Usagi finished, "you know."

There was silence as Makoto took in Usagis tale. "So what your
saying is that if Godzilla hadn't smashed those shoulder crystals,
you'd still be trapped."

Usagi nodded. Makoto let out a "hmph" as she said, "I guess that's
why you see him as a hero. I've already told all of you about my...
experience. So you can understand why I see him as a villain."

"I don't see him as a hero," Usagi corrected, "I'm grateful for what
he did, but I know that he would have done it anyway, even if I
hadn't been inside. He's a force of nature, like a tidal wave or an
earthquake. You can't fight either of them too."

	"I guess that makes sense."

Usagi squinted as dawns light started to filter in the window. She
stood and said, "I guess I better go. After what I looked like after
I came home from the battle with Space Godzilla, Momma and Pappa
will have heart attacks if I'm not there," then she asked, "Feel
better?"

Makoto nodded and replied, "Yeah," she yawned, "The only good thing
to come out of this is that there's no school until it gets rebuilt.
I'm going back to bed."

"Sweet dreams," Usagi said as she walked out the door.

Makoto crawled back under the covers and thought, "She's right. I
shouldn't be so shaken over losing like that first time. It's not
bad to not be able to beat an unfightable foe.

"Still," she reflected as sleep started to over take her, "It will
take time to... forget the... roar... of... the... beast."

NOW IT'S REALLY
THE VERY VERY END
