Genma, of course I have seen a fanfic where Soun gets together with 

Ms.

Hinako...

I know there's evidence of it in the anime: in an early episode, 
Kasumi tells Akane: "Listen to me as though I were our dear departed 
mother", and in Movie 2, Akane says to Touma "So you lost your mother 
too?"

Oh, and let's not forget the OAV concerning Mother Tendou's notebook..

It's in the Manga.  One of the later volumes, of course.  In fact, the same 
volume where Nodoka comes in if I remember correctly.  Starts off with Akane 
having a dream about her mother.

Oh, by the way, when I say a later volume, I think I'm talking in the 20s 
here.
