what are you refering to here?  To the best of my knowledge Akane has
_not_ fought with any of her rivals except shampoo and kodachi and those
fights weren't about Ranma.

Actually the table tennis match Akane attacked Shampoo before the match,
used magic and considered it was fair, chased Shampoo even after she
withdrew.  Also in the Ramen race, even after losing she used Shampoo's
curse against her.  In my book this is all very unfair play.  This is not
to say Shampoo is any better, she's not, but Akane has never proven to me
to hold a sense of fair play.

The girls are all horrid for fair play.

My definition is fairly wide but these are a few violations:
Attacking opponents who are helpless (whether bond, incompacitated or
just by sneak attack).
Continuing an attack even after an opponent has fled.
Using magic on a person when not to their benifit (magical healing would
be okay for instance).
Using magic on yourself to gain an unfair advantage.
Attacking someone even after you've lost.
Deliberately using another's emotions to manipulate them.

That's a short list.  Everyone has violated one or two points.

Because he's the only guy chasing after Shampoo.  Why, because he's a
homicial nut with little to no honor that willingly attacks guys even
close to Shampoo.  Gee, no wonder no one else tries for Shampoo, they
actually like to live and it isn't worth risking Mousse.

Actually I never noticed that chasing _Shampoo_ would risk Mousse.  I
thought it was whoever _Shampoo_ was chasing would get the sharp end of
Mousse's chains.

In the manga we did have, who was it Mint or Lime, and Mousse attacked
him.  Mousse also attacked Ranma without much cause.  In the anime he
attacked a boy asking Shampoo on a date.  Get the point.  The guy is
willing to go after any man showing interest in Shampoo in any form.

Ranma would be expected to train his kids, and maybe other kids as well, but
he would have zero say in how his life was led.

You have no evidence of this.  Even in our Patriarical societies of old
the woman did have influence, not blantent or offical but it was
definitely there.

And Ranma would settle for this because... Remember he's from Japan an
extremely Patriarchal society (especially as compared to the Amazons).
Ranma's been raised to belive that he's the head of the household.  The
women in the "Patriarchal societies of old" also knew how to be subtle and
guide their husbands.  Ranma and subtle don't fit together well.

True.  This all does assume, however, that he couldn't convince her to
stay.  He very well might.  She's shown willness to defy her
Great-grandmother and village law for Ranma.

Furthermore, Ranma has made it blatantly clear he doesn't want to marry
ANYBODY yet- something which Shampoo ignores completely.

Actually she does in a way.  If she didn't she wouldn't care much about
him being with the other girls would she because she knows he doesn't want
to marry anyone yet she smashes him, constantly.
