As far as I'm concerned, quibbling over how "dojo" is spelled is arguing
over nothing. I could spell "dojo" either way, but as you noticed, I spell
it "dojo", not "doujou". Why? Two reasons:

1) Because "d-o-j-o" is typed:

Left middle finger, home row. (lM0)*
Right ring finger, upper row. (rR+)
Right index finger, home row. (rI0)
Right ring finger, upper row. (rR+)

To type "d-o-u-j-o-u," I have to go:

Left middle finger, home row. (lM0)
Right ring finger, upper row. (rR+)
Right index finger, upper row. (rI+)
Right index finger, home row. (rI0)
Right ring finger, upper row. (rR+)
Right index finger, upper row. (rI+)

There are two strikes against "doujou"; rI+ to rI0 is an awkward
key-combination. Second, "doujou" has five letters in a row typed with the
right hand. Can we say "Repetative Stress Disorder"? That's the first
reason I prefer "dojo".

The second is that it looks better than "doujou". The lack of high letters
(those that reach the topline of the font) makes "doujou" look tapering.
Ugh! At least "dojo" is short, and has an even number of letters, which is
why I change "Tendo" to "Tendou".
