Nothing personal, but I must step in here.

Consider that out of Ukyou, Akane, and Shampoo, Shampoo is the -dumbest,-
the -least- considerate, the most violent, and the most annoying to Ranma of
the whole lot.
Dumbest? Aside from language difficulties, occasional naivete,
and argueably her persistence; 'Poo has shown few signs of low
intellegence. In fact, she seems more cunning than much of the cast.

Least Considerate? Most Violent? Do you remember a certain Tendo
Akane here?
Yes, most violent. If you will remember, she is the _only_ one who has
tried to _KILL_ Ranma (or anyone else for that matter) Ukyo tried to
punish him, not kill. Akane's not trying to kill Ranma just hurt him. So
yes she is the most violent.

Shampoo is admittedly pushy, manipulative, and ruthless
That's supposed to be a _good_ thing!!! I think Ranma would go for
Kodachi before he goes for the one who's been trying to kill him for the
last year or so (yes, I know she's not trying to anymore but her
association with dying is pretty strong in Ranma from his reactions to her
in Manga 3 wouldn't you say?)

Furthermore, if Ranma did marry Shampoo, he would have to go back to China
and become a househusband while Shampoo led the Amazons on to glory. Not the
preferred career plan for a martial artist.
Househusband? Not nessesarily. He'd probably be encouraged to do
battle and train others... just so long as he remembered who's in charge.
I doubt that joketsuzoku men are slaves in any case, and the
warrior-consort of a matriarch probably has more pull than most.

You're right...but remember Japan's patriachal and Ranma's Japanese male.
I don't think he'd really settle for anything less than equal
power...which he wouldn't get.

And this is assuming that Ranma couldn't talk her into remaining
in Japan as an embassary of some sort.

An embassary, from the _AMAZONS_ the people who are the size of a
village...are you serious? You think they'd let one of their best
warriors get away and become a politician when they settle disputes via
combat? You're joking right?!

Doesn't look too good for the brainless one, does it?
*sigh* The way I look at it, 'Poo's chances with Ranma are no
worse than... scratch that, considerably _better_ than Nabiki & Tatewaki
or Shampoo/Mousse.
I'd say it's a valid 'Fic Pairing (tm)
 if you say so...

Thanx for listening to me rant and rave
