	Actually, according to my sensei, since the final o in this word is
long, its transliteration should be so indicated.  Either with a bar over
the final o (rather difficult to do without, say, TeX), or by adding a 
final -u.  In Japanese, that final -u is actually present.
In hiragana, it would be to" shi"(sub)yo(back up)u.  (to" = do, shi" = ji).
The final -u is merely a romaji compromise to indicate the final o is a long
o.  	
I'm not familiar with Dogi, so can't say whether the first o is long
or not.  But the same works for kempou and judou.
